There are two ways to navigate to a property note:
- Option 1: Follow the standard steps in How to Add a New Note to a Customer and select the specific property you want to associate the note with.
- Option 2: Navigate directly to the property by selecting it from your Properties List.
Once you are on the correct property page, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open the Note Interface
Click on the Notes tab located on the right side of the screen, then click the blue Add New Note button.

Step 2: Select a Note Type
Select your note type from the dropdown menu.
Need a custom note type? See our instructions on How to Add a Note Type. Once added to your settings, they will automatically appear in this dropdown.
Step 3: Assign a User & Set a Due Date (Optional)
- Assigning Tasks: You can assign a user to this note if you want them to review it or complete it as a task.
- Task Status: If you choose the Task note type, you can assign a due date and set the status to "Open." The assigned user will receive a notification immediately.
Step 4: Enter Note Comments
Enter your text, logs, or specific instructions into the main comment box.
Step 5: Add Images and Attachments
You can attach files, such as photos taken on-site, property diagrams, or PDF documents, directly to the note. There's a Property Before & After Photos note type for adding property images.
- How to upload: Click the Choose Files button, select the files from your device.
- Supported files: Images (JPG, PNG) and PDF documents.
- Viewing: Once saved, these images and documents will display with the note text for easy viewing.
Step 6: Set Technician Visibility
Turn on or off ther "Include in technician view option. The note and any attached images will be visible to the technician on their mobile device when they are at a stop for this property.
- Disabled: The note remains hidden from the technician and is only visible on the administrative dashboard.
Step 7: Save
Click the Save button to finalize and log your note.
