This guide explains how to use custom tags to organize, track, and streamline upcoming service renewals for next season.

Why Use Tags for Renewals?

Applying a specific tag to a property allows you to flag accounts that require special attention before next season. This makes it simple to run filtered reports, send targeted mass emails, or isolate specific groups when pushing your renewals live.

Common examples of renewal tags include:

  • Auto-Renew-2027
  • Call-Before-Renewing
  • Price-Increase-Next-Season

Step-by-Step: Setting Up and Applying Renewal Tags

Step 1: Apply the Tag to the Property Profile

  1. Open the target customer account and navigate to the Properties tab.
  2. Click the Property Name to open the editor.
  3. Locate the Assign Tag field.
  4. Click the dropdown menu and select the tag(s) you want to apply.
  5. Click Save at the bottom of the page.

Note: If the tag you need doesn't exist yet, you will need to create it first in your global settings.

Step 2: Utilizing Tags During the Renewal Process

When the current season ends and you are ready to mass-renew services, you can leverage these tags to filter your list. For example, you can:

  • Isolate Accounts: Filter by Call-Before-Renewing to handle those specific clients manually before pushing renewals.
  • Batch Update Pricing: Filter by Price-Increase-Next-Season to adjust rates globally before renewing their services.
  • Exclude Groups: Ensure certain accounts are left out of automatic batch renewals.
