Behavior & Limitations
Technician Reminder & Route Ordering: The assigned time serves strictly as a reminder for the technician to view it will not automatically reorder the route or place the job at the beginning.
- Viewing and Customizing Route Order: To check or adjust the sequence of stops, go to Scheduling > Scheduled Routes > View/Edit Routes. This is the correct location to manage and view the route order.
- Manual Reordering: If you want a scheduled stop to appear first (or in a specific position), you must manually reorder the list within the route editor.
Visibility Across Views: The fixed start time will not display in the standard Table View of scheduled services, nor in the Unassigned Services or Route views.
To view or verify the specific scheduled time:
- Calendar View: Navigate to the Calendar View and click directly on the service entry to open its details panel, where the assigned start time will be visible.
- Technician Mobile / Route View: The specific scheduled time does appear directly on the technician's route card next to a bell icon (e.g.,
? 18:00), serving as their visual reminder for the stop.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Does adding a service automatically place it at the top of the schedule?
No. When a new service is added to an existing route, the system automatically places it where it is most geographically/logistically optimized, not necessarily at the top.
What happens to a custom-ordered route when a new service is added or removed?
If you have manually re-ordered a route prior to adding or removing a service, the route will reset and default back to its original optimized order. If you want to maintain a customized sequence after modifying the route, you will need to manually re-order the route again under Scheduling > Scheduled Routes > View/Edit Routes.
- Use Case: Best suited for strict time window requests, high-priority appointments, commercial access constraints, or call-ahead services.
- Finalize Before Reordering: Complete all additions and removals from a route before customizing the sequence to prevent having to re-adjust the custom order multiple times.
