If a customer is unsubscribed from email communications, they will not receive automated notifications, including their initial service invoices. This can result in unpaid balances and unexpected late notices.
To prevent missed invoices and ensure smooth communication, you can export your customer list to quickly check which customers have active email or text subscriptions.
How to Export and Check Subscription Statuses
Rather than checking each customer profile individually, you can review all account subscription settings at once using the CSV Download feature:
- Navigate to the Customer List: Go to the Customer List screen in your admin dashboard.
- Download the Customer Export: Click the CSV Download button located at the top of the screen.
- Open the File: Open the downloaded CSV spreadsheet on your computer using Excel, Google Sheets, or any compatible spreadsheet software.
- Locate Subscription Columns: Scroll to or filter by the following columns:
• Email Subscribed: Indicates whether the customer is opted in to receive email notifications and invoices.
• Text Subscribed: Indicates whether the customer is opted in to receive text/SMS communications.
Helpful Tips
- Filter for Unsubscribed Accounts: Use your spreadsheet software’s filter feature on the Email Subscribed column or Text Subscribed column (e.g., filter for
Unsubscribed)to immediately surface any customers who need their email or text subscriptions updated. - New Customer Onboarding: Consider running this export periodically or during onboarding to catch unsubscribed accounts before initial invoices are sent.
