When attempting to accept an estimate for a property, you may receive a error screen that says Estimate Not Created! and prevents the estimate from saving. Deleting and recreating the estimate from scratch will not fix this issue because the error is caused by a data conflict on the Property Profile itself.
The system will block an estimate from being accepted if the property is already locked into the exact same program from a separate source.
The Two Root Causes & How to Fix Them
This error occurs when the system detects a duplicate conflict. Check the property profile for the following two items:
Cause 1: The Program is Already Active on the Property
If the customer is already actively assigned to the program you are quoting, the system cannot overwrite it with the new estimate.
- Navigate to the Property Profile for the customer.
- Scroll down to their active programs list.
- Temporarily Remove or unassign the conflicting program from the property.
- Return to your interactive estimate and click Accept.
Cause 2: An Older "Legacy" Estimate is Already Marked as Accepted
If there is an old, "legacy" estimate for this exact same program that was previously marked as accepted, it creates a system deadlock.
- Go to the customer's profile and locate their history of estimates.
- Look for any older, legacy estimates containing that program.
- Delete the old legacy estimate.
- Return to the new interactive estimate and click Accept.
Summary Checklist for Office Staff
If an estimate refuses to process, stop duplicating the estimate and follow these three quick steps:
- Open the Property Profile in a new tab.
- Clear out any active duplicates of that program.
- Remove any old, unneeded estimates for that program, then hit accept again!
