Overview

When you need to adjust the pricing of a standalone service, whether you can edit the price directly or need to delete and recreate the service depends on how it was originally applied to the property.

This guide explains how to check your service status and the correct steps to update your pricing.

Direct Editing vs. Re-creation

Before making any changes, determine if a Price Override was used when the service was assigned to the property.

Scenario A: A Price Override WAS Used

If a custom price override was locked in during the initial assignment, the system prevents direct editing to maintain financial history consistency.

  • The Rule: It cannot be edited.
  • The Solution: You must delete the standalone service from the property and re-assign it.

Scenario B: NO Price Override Was Used

If the service is simply pulling from your standard global pricing without an override, you can update it instantly.

  • The Rule: It can be edited directly.
  • The Solution: Use the built-in management tools on the Services screen.

How to Edit or Re-Assign a Service

Follow these steps to update your service based on the scenarios above:

To Edit an Eligible Service (No Override)

  1. Navigate to the Service Pricing tab on the Update Property page.
  2. Locate the service you wish to update.
  3. Enter the price override to the right of service name.
  4. Click the Save price override button at the top of the page.

To Delete and Re-Assign a Service (With Override)

  1. Search for the Service on the Unscheduled Services page.
  2. Check the box to select the service.
  3. Click on the Delete Services button at the top of table.
  4. Re-add the standalone service to the property with the corrected price override.
