Note: This feature is included in our Premium and Elite plans and can be added to our Essentials plan for $30/month (text messaging subscription required).
To allow technicians to send notifications to your customers when they are "On The Way", you will need to take a couple of steps.
1. Customize and turn on the setting in your settings screen. You can find the setting in your automated notifications section. You can use the {TECHNICIAN_FIRST_NAME} field to automatically include your technician's first name in the message (your technician will be able to edit this message before sending if desired).
2. For all customers who are opted into text, your technician will see a "Send Message ETA" button on their technician dashboard. For group billing customers, these messages will be sent to the property contact.
3. When your technician clicks this button, they will be shown a preview of the message (they can edit the message if desired) and the option to "Send".
4. Once sent, the customer will be notified via text and the button will no longer be enabled (only one notification per job is allowed).
For group billing customers, these messages will be sent to the property contact.
